Newborns:

 

Newborn photography must be done within the first 2 or 3 weeks of birth. The session may take up to 3-4 hours long with feeding, changing, and posing. Patience is golden when photographing newly borns. I have photographed a month old before, the only issue with photographing so late  (that I've noticed) is that the baby doesn't sleep as sound as when they are just recently born. It is not only easier on the photographer, but the mother as well. The earlier, the better! :) 

If you are looking into getting your newborns photos done, please allow the photographer 2-3 weeks notice, so she can assure she is fully prepared to make your session personal and special. Allowing her enough time will allow her plenty of time to order and receive last minute essentials to personalize your session. 

 

If photographing on location, lots of natural light is preferred. Although I do have studio lighting, the natural light is less harsh and gives a more natural look, where studio lighting can create a more harsh look in some circumstances. It is completely up to you, though. I use both while photographing if I feel there just isn't enough natural light. 

 

 

Toddlers (1-3 years):

 

Cake Smash:

 

Cake smash sessions are a great way to introduce your child into their toddler years.  Not to mention, they are super fun! These are usually done for the childs' first birthday, but can be done up to 3 years of age. Below are a few things to keep in mind when booking your session:

 

Please book your session well in advance to allow me to order decorations and props for your session, unless otherwise decided. I will have you choose a theme for your session so I can order accordingly. Your theme can include a certain character, or a certain variety of colors. Pinterest and Google are great for finding perfect cake smash themes. You can also create your own theme!

 

In addition, before coming to your photo session, please assure your child is well rested, has eaten, and ready to dig in! 
During your session, I will take a few formal portraits of your child. So if you'd like to bring a more formal outfit before we change into the cake smash outfit, please feel free to. You will receive these photos on a disc along with the cake smash photographs.

 

Sessions will start out at $75 if you can provide a cake, and $100 if you cannot. I will provide a cake if you are unable to.
